El Trago 1873 is a premium 100% Destilado de Agave Espadin Spirit. Made in the town of Tequila in Jalisco, Mexico and using all traditional tequila cooking methods this Espadin product sheds a whole new light on the quality behind Agave spirits.
We believe the year 1873 has great sigsignificance in the agave world. It is rumored that tequila was first exported to the United States in 1873.
Maguey Espadin (Agave angustifolia) is the most commonly used agave in mezcal. It will generally take about 8-12 years to fully mature, and it can be grown in a variety of farm and wild environments. Where Blue Weber dominates tequila, Maguey espadin dominates mezcal, or for our case Agave Spirit.
